Cayman Connection welcomes Parcel 110 to the Yard on Wednesday, 25 May at 6pm BST to speak about their creative venue and community hub which offers a smorgasbord of activities, opportunities, and flexible spaces to accommodate artist residencies, performances, social events, exhibitions, learning opportunities, creative collaborations, immersive experiences and more.

Parcel 110 encourages arts and cultural expression in the Cayman Islands and promotes Caymanians working in the creative industries overseas. This event will provide members with an overview of the hybrid company’s mission, and invite participation on upcoming programmes.

Virtual Yard Guest: Donovon Kellyman

“We want to let Caymanians studying or working in creative fields know that they will always be supported and amplified by people at home whether they return home or continue to work abroad. Parcel 110 is thrilled to see so much Caymanian creativity flourishing in the UK and wants to recognise that by building a professional network for artists in the UK that Caymanians can always count on. We also want to find ways to help Caymanian creatives establish their practice and sell their products and services across borders.”

What is Parcel 110?

Parcel 110 is a creative hub in downtown George Town. We occupy the original Royal Bank of Canada building on Cardinall Avenue (original vault and all!) and our 20,000+ square feet of space includes an art gallery, studios for independent artists and creative enterprise, a space for content creators, a recording studio, classrooms for art education, meeting spaces, and a bar to service special events. We are currently developing additional studios, a multi-purpose performance venue, and a full restaurant and bar service.

Our mission is to support the development of creatives and their enterprise, encourage collaboration within the artistic community, and expand access to broad arts education in Cayman by providing a physical space in George Town and supporting services. We are a business incorporated in the Cayman Islands and licensed to conduct business by the CI government, but we are not a registered NPO.

We consider all creative outlets worth supporting: visual art, drama and performance art, music, design, fashion, film, craft, media, creative production, poetry and writers’ craft, and culinary arts among others.
