Alanis Linwood-Amor

Alanis Linwood-Amor

LEAD ALUMNI AMBASSADOR

After completing my studies in the United Kingdom, I knew I still wanted to be involved with CCUK despite having moved back to the Cayman Islands. I was so glad to hear about the Alumni Ambassador programme and to be the Lead Alumni Ambassador is a great honour! My role is to be a point of contact to prospective students deciding to embark on their studies in the UK, as well as to maintain the network of returning graduates and assist with their transition back to the Cayman Islands.”
For additional information. I am now a Policy Advisor (Health) at the Ministry of Health, Environment, Culture and Housing and was a GOV scholarship recipient. I studied at Durham University and Imperial College London.

Irka Ebanks

Dr Irka L. Ebanks is a graduate from the University of the West Indies, where she obtained her M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree in 2013.

Dr Irka L. Ebanks has worked as a medical doctor for two years; in Kingston Jamaica and The Cayman Islands. She decided to pursue further education in the area of Naturopathy & Herbal Medicine in London, began her course in October 2015 and graduated in June 2018. Irka now works as a Medical Doctor at Health City Cayman Islands.

Ashvin Murugesu

Ashvin grew up in West Bay and is a graduated from Cayman Prep and High School in 2011. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Astronomy, Space Sciences & Astrophysics from the University of Kent. He then attended The London School of Economics to study for a Diploma in Accounting and Finance and worked for KPMG UK as an Audit Assistant. Now living in London, Ashvin is pursuing a career in finance and is planning on studying for the CFA qualification.

Nordania Stewart

Nordania graduated from the University of Greenwich with a Degree in Public Relations and Communications and went on to study for her Master’s Degree having loved studying in the UK. Nordina has been instrumental in setting up and running the CSA team, managing the CCUK website and organising events for CCUK. 

Juliana Wood

Juliana graduated from the University of Kent in the historic city of Canterbury, Kent with a degree in BA (Hons) Law and Accounting & Finance. Juliana is a Maples and Calder scholar and intends to qualify as an attorney-at-law in the Cayman Islands.

Juliana is a student member of the Caymanian Bar Association, a committee member of the Kent Student Law Society and a Cayman Student Ambassador. As a CCUK Alumni Ambassador, Juliana assists with the planning and logistics of Cayman Connection UK events.  Juliana welcomes all questions about living and studying in the UK and is ready to share her personal / professional advice.

David Ramseran

A Caymanian currently completing his LPC in London. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2018, studying Law at Oxford Brookes University.

He previously completed his A-levels at Millfield School in Somerset, UK. He has been in the UK since 2011 during his time in the UK he has taken part in sports at various levels. He was a member of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve..
