Cayman Connection begins the first three months of the new year focused on Health & Wellbeing, and for the month of January, Mental Health will take centre stage. Beginning on Wednesday, 12 January, Cayman Connection’s social media platforms will host the 12 Days of Mindfulness campaign which was first launched in 2021.
Each day, one of a collection of 12 mindful activities will be posted, along with a link to content created by Caymanians and Cayman-connected persons who will share their practice, expertise and suggestions on the activity. Content will include videos, audio clips, exercises and more, all geared towards living in the moment, for people of all ages. Cayman Connection’s Instagram page @cayconnect will be the primary location for posting all content, with Facebook members also being able to access daily content in Stories. Videos are located on Cayman Connection’s YouTube page. Anyone wanting to share mindfulness suggestions or experiences are encouraged to do so throughout the quarter.
12 Days of Mindfulness will be followed by Mental Health: Let’s Talk in the Virtual Yard, offering members and non-members access to established Health & Wellness practitioners Dr. Shari Smith of Life Options, Sarah Pierson of the Alex Panton Foundation and Chef Maureen “Mo” Cubbon of Zest. This meeting will be hosted by Cayman Connection’s Kate Kandiah, a qualified Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Practitioner (Equine Specialist).
