FB_IMG_1464509763186Candace Charles is a young Caymanian pursuing her dreams of Graphic Design in the UK. Currently enrolled in the Graphic Design BTEC Level 3 programme, Candace is the first Caymanian to attend Harlow College. Her love for the arts and design began at a young age as she regularly attended summer camp programmes held at the Harquail Theatre. Prior to completing high-school at the Cayman Islands Further Education Centre, Candace got involved with the National Gallery’s Arts and Design programme. What initially started as high-school work experience soon turned in to a long-term job as her involvement ignited her desire to become a graphic designer, illustrator and animator even further.

Candace’s hard work and dedication was recognised earlier this year as she was nominated for and won the Jack Petchey award for her contribution to her community and her peers. As Ms. Charles comes to the end of her studies at Harlow College she will be putting on an end of year Graphic Show, along with her class, based on the extravagant and detailed theme of ‘Origami’. The invitation to come and support this new generation of designers at Harlow College has generously been extended to the public. All are invited and encouraged to come out and support this young Caymanian as she follows her passion and represents our island in arts and design.

The public opening will take place on June 16th and 17th from 10am-4pm at the Harlow College
