The Cayman Connection UK launch event was held at the National Gallery in Cayman in August and was a roaring success with immense thanks to a host of individuals, companies and Government entities who all took part. Over 60 guests including HE the Governor, Mrs. Helen Kilpatrick, Hon Osbourne Bodden, Minister for Sports, Youth and Culture; Rosa Harris, Director of the Department of Tourism; Will Pinneu of the Chamber of Commerce, private sector representatives, friends and over 30 students mixed mingled and networked with Caribbean steel pan music performed by local musician Michael Lemay and virtuosic jazz styling local Berklee musician, Beneil Miller.

This year’s major sponsor was Mourant Ozannes, who will be also hosting the first subject specific networking event for law students in London on 27 October.

Mourant Ozannes is delighted to support Cayman Connection UK.  As a leading offshore law firm, Mourant Ozannes advises on the laws of the Cayman Islands, BVI, Guernsey and Jersey.  We have offices in each of these jurisdictions in addition to London and Hong Kong.

Mourant Ozannes recognises the importance of building relationships with people who are associated with both the Cayman Islands and the UK.  Our partnership with Cayman Connection UK is consistent with our strategy of promoting excellence both within the firm and within the communities in which we operate and from which we will seek to recruit the very best and the brightest.  We look forward to our continued association with this excellent network.

The organisation for the Mourants Ozannes London networking event is well underway, so please get in touch if you would like to get involved.

We would also like to thank Queensgate Bank and Trust, Caybrew and the National Gallery for their invaluable support of this event.
