We are delighted to have started our Friends of Cayman mentoring programme for students in advance of 2017. Our kind partners and Friends of Cayman are offering their assistance to students who would like to add another string to their bow during their time in the UK.

Don McDougall has 37 years experience in the Travel and Tourism industry and currently heads up the Europe office for DOT.  With his team in the UK, Don oversees all areas of the sales and marketing for the Cayman Islands in Europe, including public relations, advertising (print and digital), promotions, responsible tourism strategies, affinity marketing, B2B and B2C marketing, Public Relations and social media management.

How Don Can Help: Don has offered to assist students needing extra guidance with their Travel and Tourism degree projects and has a team on hand who can help you with some hands on real life examples of marketing a travel destination in Europe. The DOT office, based in central London also has materials for students wishing to add some Cayman elements to their projects and events, including pull up banners, Cayman Islands products, magazines, marketing collateral and literature, leaflets and PPP presentations.

Will Quin is a Caymanian living and working in the UK. Will went to school at Merchiston in Edinburgh before attending Durham University where he read Law and graduated with an LLB (Hons). Will has a wide range of experience in structuring and negotiating player contracts, sourcing commercial opportunities and manages some of the best young cricketers in the UK. Working at Sporta Group, Will aims to coordinate and promote sports tours to and from Cayman.

How Will can help: Will has expressed an interest in being involved in mentoring and assisting Cayman Students in the UK who are interested in a career in the sports world.
