“The Future of Vocational Education in Brexit Britain for International Students: Every Opportunity to succeed”
CCUK will be joining this parliamentary discussion with Educating Beyond Boarders – MPs will be updating attendees about what has been done so far in this area and their plans for the next 12 – 18 months to ensure international students on technical, vocational, professional courses can access the work experience/ route to qualifications components of these courses. Making sure international students have full access to education in the UK not only removes the HE/FE trade embargo in the UK. This also opens up increased opportunities for countries to trade with the EU. Access to qualifications recognised by the EU facilitates services trade.
It is one way to help provide solutions to the trade issues caused by Brexit.
As we know Caymanians are treated as home students and not international students, however sometimes we do get situations were our students join international course, and this is am important and interesting discussion for us to be involved in.
QUESTIONS FOR MPS WELCOME – if you have a question about international students in the light of Brexit, please submit to hello@caymanconnection.org by Friday 20 October.
