Celebrating Caymanians overseas

The Cayman Connection Making Waves Awards recognise Caymanians living overseas who have made outstanding contributions to, and excelled in their respective fields at a regional and/or global level, for the second consecutive year.

Making Waves Award winners receive recognition from across the globe. From awards ceremonies to international news outlets, the winners have thousands of eyes on their outstanding achievements.

We look forward to supporting and celebrating those who have excelled in their field whilst abroad, specifically those who continually strive to promote our community and share “Caymankind” globally.

Nominators incentive:

  • Entered into prize draw to win a flight to visit their Making Waves nominee or to fly back home to the Cayman Islands *T&C’s apply
  • Make a Caymankind act to highlight a Caymanian going above and beyond
  • Invitation to the 2024 Making Waves Ceremony held in Grand Cayman

2024 Making Waves Awards Nominations Now Closed.

Nominations are now closed, be sure to save the date for our Awards Ceremony in Grand Cayman on the 8th August 2024.

Please keep an eye on our website and social media channels for information on eligibility and the nomination period.

To be eligible to qualify, the nominee must:

  • Have lived overseas for a minimum of 12 months. Students in full time education living overseas are eligible.
  • Be Caymanian.
  • Be excelling in, or making outstanding contributions to your respective field.

*Cayman Connection employees are not permitted to submit a nomination entry.
