Meetings & Events
CC Book Club meets once every 6 weeks for one hour, with the first meeting having been held virtually on Wednesday, 23 March 2022 at 7pm. Meeting dates are published after each meeting.  The launch event –“Trouble in the Streets” – An Encounter with J.A. Roy Bodden, Cayman’s most prolific Cultural Historian will took place on Wednesday, 27 April from 6pm – 7:30pm in the Virtual Yard. CC Book Club events are scheduled throughout the year.  Members are welcome to contribute ideas for events and activities including group outings. 
 
Format
No previous experience in book clubs required. The CC Book Club Leads will propose a recommended reading list and will also invite suggestions on books to be read, prioritising titles according to the Club’s aim.  Excerpts from books as well as synopses will be provided by CC Book Club Leads for all recommended titles.  A portion of the one-hour meeting will be dedicated to hearing from members about works they are currently reading.

There is currently no membership fee to join CC Book Club but you must be a registered Cayman Connection member.  Caymanian publications can be ordered and purchased through Cayman Connection from time to time, with members purchasing through the Cayman Connection website or depositing directly to the CC account. Members will be given an order form to fill out before the purchase is made along with a timeframe for receiving the title.
