The finalist with the most public votes will receive the People’s Choice Award at the 2026 Making Waves Awards ceremony.

What is the People's Choice Award?
The People’s Choice Award is a special award that gives the public the opportunity to recognise one outstanding Caymanian from among all 25 shortlisted finalists in the Making Waves Awards 2026.
Who can vote?
Anyone can vote in the People’s Choice Award.
How many times can I vote?
You can only vote ONE time for ONE PERSON during the voting period.
Can I vote for someone in more than one category?
No. You may cast one vote for one finalist from across all nine award categories.
When does voting close?
Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. Cayman time on Sunday, 9 August.
How is the winner chosen?
The finalist who receives the highest number of valid public votes will be named the Making Waves People’s Choice Award winner.
Does winning the People's Choice Award affect the category winners?
No. The People’s Choice Award is separate from the nine judged award categories. Category winners are selected by an independent panel of judges.
When will the winner be announced?
The People’s Choice Award winner will be announced at the Making Waves Awards 2026 ceremony on Saturday, 15 August. The ceremony will be live streamed on Cayman Connection’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. Follow Cayman Connection on Facebook for updates.
