New Member Portal Launched for Caymanian Students Overseas
A new Member Portal designed to provide Caymanian students studying overseas with a single, dedicated hub for resources, opportunities and community support throughout their educational journey has now been launched.
Created as part of Cayman Connection’s growing student support offering, the portal brings together practical information, career development resources, events and peer-to-peer networking in one accessible, exclusive, digital space.
The platform is available for all Caymanian students and trainees abroad – including government scholars, privately funded stude
The portal is organised around the key stages of the overseas student journey, helping members access relevant support before departure, while living overseas, and as they prepare to return home and transition into the workforce.
Members will be able to access exclusive content curated by Student Ambassadors, partners, and sponsors:
- Student Resources covering topics such as budgeting, travel planning, accommodation, healthcare registration, lifestyle adjustments and returning home after graduation.
- Careers & Employability resources featuring career insights, professional development content, internship opportunities and guidance from Cayman Connection’s partners and experienced professionals.
- Upcoming Events including both virtual and in-person opportunities designed to support connection, wellbeing and professional growth.
- News & Student Link Blogs providing region-specific information for students in the UK, USA, Canada and other overseas destinations, alongside personal stories and advice shared by Student Ambassadors around the world.
A key feature of the new platform is its member chat and connection functionality, which allows students to search for fellow Caymanians by location and course of study, send direct messages and build supportive networks in their local area. Additional resources, interactive features, partner opportunities and student-led content will continue to be added as the platform develops.
