May’s virtual yard chat was filled with positive energy and much to celebrate as members shared their milestones at work, university, and with personal projects.

Tuning in from as far away as Massachusetts, Canada, and Slovakia, members came together to enjoy each other’s company and catch up with old and new friends. The relaxed setting is always an ideal way to spend the first Wednesday of the month.

Topics discussed ranged from Masters programmes, government and private scholarships (and finding work after university), mediation, entrepreneurship, Caymanian short films, weather patterns in member locations (with a walk down memory lane to John Foster days on Cayman 27), Fit4Feb and the cat that joined in on the fun, diving, Cayman Brac conservation and poetry, Parcel 110, Book Club, Cook Club, Celebrating Caymanians Overseas podcast, and the difference between brown and black bears (yes, you read that correctly!).

The Yard brought together a fantastic group making noteworthy contributions in their respective locations and we are looking forward to hosting our next chat on 1 June at 6pm BST. Join us! Conversations are led by members and are a wonderful way to support and learn about other Caymanians overseas.
