Mentees
Having a mentor can be the most important addition to your network when you are trying to make decisions, build your future, reflect on your next steps or have the door ‘nudged’ open for you, or just be shown the way. Mentors bring with them skills, knowledge and experience in particular fields, so it is important you know what you want from them. It is settling in the UK, finding work, moving back to Cayman, starting your own business…. it has to be ‘your goal’.
We will match you with a mentor most suited to your needs. The Mentor Connect Programme will run for 6 months and you will meet with your mentor for at least two hours per month (virtually or in person). After that, if it’s working for you both of course you can continue as much or as little as you want. If nothing else you will have a new friend in your network.
Mentors
Being a mentor is a valuable and rewarding way to give back and pass on a few life experiences. If you have, skills, knowledge and experience in a particular area and would be willing to share those with someone, mentoring may be just right for you. We are looking for business owners, professionals, UK residents, parents, ex-pats, in-pats, restaurateurs, singers, doctors, nurses, actors….the list goes on, but you get the drift. We are looking for all kind and caring individuals who would like to help others out a little with their future.
As a mentor, you would be expected to meet with your mentee for a minimum of two hours a month for 6 months. After that, the relationship is between you and therefore up to you if you continue.
