You are not alone.

It is normal to feel overwhelmed, anxious, and not okay!  You are not alone, and caring professionals are readily available to help you.

Being overseas and away from home can severely affect your mood and feelings. Luckily, mental health resources around the globe and in the Cayman Islands are now easily accessible and plentiful. The best thing you can do for your mental health is share your thoughts, get insight on what you may be going through and express your feelings.

Trained counsellors and psychiatrists can offer consultations through online sessions and social media support groups. If an in-person consultation is not possible, they can also provide psychological assessments and check-ins by phone or video call.

The Alex Panton Foundation is also a good place to seek help. The APF is a not-for-profit organisation with the primary objective of raising awareness of mental illnesses affecting children and young adults – this is donethrough advocacy, awareness and support. We work closely with the Alex Panton Foundation to support mental health struggles of our members – for more information please visit: alexpantonfoundation.ky.

You can also access support from overseas through the Alex Panton Foundation Financial Assistance Programme if you need to connect with a local provider in the Cayman Islands.
