Commercial Director(s) Cayman Connection CIC (Volunteer roles: UK/Cayman Islands/US)

Cayman Connection is a global network for groups and individuals connected to the Cayman Islands. Cayman Connection is a Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales, with an NFP entity currently being established in the Cayman Islands.

Cayman Connection CIC is seeking additional new commercially-minded Directors in the UK, US and the Cayman Islands to join our Board, in particular those with business development experience of not-for-profit organisations.

This is a very exciting time to be joining Cayman Connection which is seeing growth in all areas, has a team of passionate Caymanians on board and is looking to expand globally with the right people at the helm.

Our Directors should have a genuine enthusiasm for the provision of support and opportunities for Caymanians overseas and be able to make the necessary commitment to the role. They will need strategic vision, a strong understanding of the role of charity trustee/directors and independent judgement. 

Previous experience of being a Trustee/Director is preferred but not essential.

Directors are expected to contribute actively to the Boards’ role in giving strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy, defining goals, setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets. 

To provide expert guidance with the organisations financial processes.

Directors will work with the Founder/Executive Director and current to deliver and progress in the following areas:

  • Strategic network and business growth
  • Fundraising, sponsorship and corporate partnerships
  • Long term membership and data statistics

The Director role is initially a volunteer role.
