Cultural Wellbeing Overseas

On Wednesday 27th January we were delighted to be able to host Cultural Agility Expert Marina Ibrahim and Caymanian Clinical Psychologist Dr Shari Smith to join us to talk about CULTURAL WELLBEING OVERSEAS.

This is such an important topic to us and the basis of the foundations of Cayman Connection, a network connecting and supporting Caymanians overseas to help and support those feeling far from their home and their culture.   In this webinar we discussed managing our mental health in a cross-cultural environment and talked about mental health challenges when living overseas,

We explored what it means to be managing mental health outside of your country and culture and discuss coping mechanisms and things to expect when overseas, in “normal times” and during a crisis.

The aim of this webinar was to help our members prepare for and manage challenges overseas, and to understand the process behind cross cultural adjustment. We also shared tools and tips for managing wellbeing overseas.
