As an Overseas Territory, the Cayman Islands and the United Kingdom share strong ties. I am pleased that the Cayman Student Ambassadors, the Department of Tourism and the Cayman Islands Government have found it fit to launch the Cayman Connection UK Network in support of the Friends of Cayman Group. This is an important venture as it provides an avenue for Caymanians and friends associated with the Cayman Islands to keep abreast of the current affairs in the Cayman Islands, to promote the Cayman Islands in Europe, to provide a resource for Caymanian students studying in the UK and to provide possible internship and/or employment opportunities for Caymanian students with Cayman Islands associated firms in the UK.
I look forward to the continued growth of the network in the Cayman Islands and the UK, and to hear about the ways in which the network is supporting our students here and abroad. Good luck and congratulations!
