2017 LEAD Cayman Student Ambassador – Juliana Wood

“Being away from home doesn’t mean you have to miss home. CCUK continues to be a great organisation with the primary focus being to connect all Caymanians and their friends whilst in the UK. Anyone being a part of this network of friends will soon find that they’re family. CCUK offers all of our student members access to professionals and their skills, resources from the Department of Tourism and Cayman Government Office in the UK and news regarding current affairs and/or potential internship opportunities. There’s no reason why we shouldn’t feel connected and CCUK has provided us with a platform to do just that. My role as a Cayman Student Ambassador is to ensure that we are all integrated and aware of upcoming events and to be a point of contact should anyone require information or counsel about living and studying in the UK. This also includes giving my best tips on how to budget, where you can get the best value for money and funding options such as scholarships. I am proud to be a scholar with the Cayman Islands Government and Maples and Calder. I am also proud to be a part of this invaluable organisation which has allowed me to connect and share with others.”

MORE ABOUT CAYMAN STUDENT AMBASSADORS and how to sign up…..

Being a CSA will give you a great opportunity to lead and run the CCUK network and CCUK activity. The role is for one year and students can choose to continue into further years. Roles can be split between more than one student per role. CCUK and the Cayman Government will be able to offer you references and benefits for taking on this role. We are also working with sponsors to provide some great incentives to becoming a CSA, including all expenses paid, Cayman goodies, gift vouchers, and flights to Cayman!
